People Brush Your Dogs

This little dog came to get the matted hair shaved off. He was left on his new owner's door step by someone. I made this video because I want people to understand that matting like this is a form of neglect and what can happen if you do not brush your dogs. Even if the dog has been feed and is loved on,without brushing then the dog can become matted and they will pull at the dog's skin,if they are as bad as this dog was. It can be helped by taking regaler trips to the groomer or grooming the dog yourself. This is something that every groomer has seen at least once in their career,maybe even more then some.The dog is feeling much better now and has a new family that love him. Next time he comes I will post an update and he will have a name. ^.^ You will get to see him from start to finish in this video. He looks like a whole new dog at the end.

If for some reason you can not take care of your pet then find someone who can and if you are think about buying a pet then make sure to read up on it and understand it's needs. I know we all can stop animal abuse if we all take the time to care.

This was my first video I have ever edited and I hope with time I will get better at it ^.^ Sorry it's so long.

I'm a groomer and I've seen this myself. What number blade did you need to shave him with he looks about the worst matted I've ever seen. I'm glad there are people like you out there that give a sh*t it makes me so angry. If you haven't got the time to brush your dog/can't afford to pay for its upkeep why get one in the first place? I'm glad this dog came to you.

Thank you so much. I was very glad he came too. It's a shame. I believe that she used a 10 blade but had to use a 15 on his feet. Sadly this is not the worst case I have seen but it was still very bad. I remember one time when the same girl in the video was shaving another little dog and when she got the hair off the tip of his tail,his skin was nothing but this big raw sore. I never seen anything like that before. It almost made me cry.

We've had some bad ones too (nothing as bad as that though) where the legs were actually bleeding underneath the matts. It makes me feel a little better knowing we managed to get it all off.

Now I have not seen that but I'm sure it happens. I hate to hear that but am so glad you got it off of the poor dog. This really is a bad thing and I hope people can see that.

how can people do this to dogs???? just think......if you dont brush your hair, how notted it will be , but its all over the dogs body.....and yes my dog is a shih tzu and he has beed matted before but not this bad. And i cared him to a grooming place to get the mats out. and if dont want to brush your dog....dont get one....

Unfortunately, i see this almost DAILY. I used to report people at my last 2 shops... Luckily for these scumbag owners I do not have access to the owners names or info at this one I'm at now.

All groomers out there: If you get a dog to the shop looking like that, tell the owners that if they cant run their fingers through the coat all down to the skin its time to brush or cut the dog. If the fingers stick its time to brush. Even more than that preferably but at the least!

There are people who LOVE♥ their dogs and there are people who have dogs- I agree with you that is another form of neglect- people who really care and love their dogs are aware and those who don't, sadly never will be- my little rescue looked like a tumbleweed with two eyes when he was rescued-- thank God this little man is with people now who will give him the love and respect he deserves -He is a lucky little man today- Thank you !!
