  • great pics, thanks for sharing. can you remember if there was ever a pub on the precinct? please let me know, if you can recall one. cheers :)

  • Loved the vid mate, very nostalgic.

  • LOVED looking through these old pics. Some are further back than I remember but still great to see how much it has changed over time........... not always for the better either.

  • I used to live in Ardwick till 1966 and i used to spend two weeks of my summer school holidays [1964 and 65] with relations in Whythenshawe around the ravenscar crescent, shadow moss rd area it was like a different world in those days from the soon to be slums of Ardwick to the greenery and wide open spaces of Whythenshawe, great times for an 8/9 year old.

  • Great to see pics of the Royal Oak, Greenwood, the Garter and the baths......former haunts of an ex-pat wivvy. Good vid and good choice of music too

  • Brilliant video - brings back so many memories. Thanks for uploading.

  • Lived there from 66 to 75. Played lots in Wythy park. Learned to swim in Sharston Baths. Had my tonsils out in Baguley Hospital.

  • Good video, i will have to show my Dad as he used to live in Newall Green in the 50s, went to Brownley Road School
