She should have cut the pants a larger hole (maybe asking teh girl if she cared about already torn pants?). The gloves thing is ridicolous if you don't know what you are doing.
Like that she disinfects the pants and cure the whole stuff.
Perhaps she thinks other ways would worse in the hands of inexpert people. That maybe true

@Jimthemedic I love how you obliterated this video, destroying her unthoughtful actions which were to get a video of her patching a child instead of instantaneously catering to her. How about scene safety? Wouldn't be nice to perform first-aid only to get hit by a car.
If you can't get to the wound, just cut the pants away with your sheers. Irrigate with water, disinfect, place a gauze pad on the wound (with vaseline-dressing if it's a abrasion) and secure with a elastic bandage. A window-dressing stays on for about 2 seconds with a kid.
