  • Yes.

The great difficulty people have is to differentiate beliefs and reality.

They think. that lack of belief is a belief in itself. They think that something coming out of their head (or ancient books) is worth what scientists discover (through pair-review process).

As David Hume once said : "Which is more likely: That the whole natural order is suspended or that a Jewish minx should tell a lie?" ... for many people, the natural order can be suspended ...

  • The gospels disagreeing proves they are right? WTF?

So the contradictions are all right?

  • I agree with what these people are saying, but I think that they are coming of condescendingly.

  • @bicokun You didn't watch these two videos did you? Seek and you shall receive.

  • The only question I ever want a theist to answer is "why should I believe it?" No one has ever come up with a satisfying answer to date.

  • George Washington has a Grave site unlike Zeus I mean Jesus

  • @ranchai100 And that's not it... what he found DIDN'T go against Catholic Church teaching... for the geocentric universe is not infallible teaching of neither ordinary or extraordinary magisterium... another thing would be that it went against what some (rather many) church theologians and some church fathers taught, there's a difference. And the claim that those scientists were skeptical just because it "went against Church Teaching" is just an assumption.

  • @ranchai100 You said it, "hipothized", not altogether proved (at least at that time)... now it's not that he wasn't making a good point, it's just that he wanted it to be declared an absolute truth without any sort of reasonable doubt and wanted the Church to make a theology to his liking, that's what got the church officials upset; ironically he was the one who said "the bible teaches how to get to heaven, not how the heavens go" and that was the correct approach to it, but then he snapped

  • @JesGabBreMar actually through the discovery of jupiters satelits he hypothized that since jupiter and its moons were travelling at a fixed rate, the earth must do the same.As for the other scientists, they were skeptical because what he found went against church teaching,a no no at that time

  • @JesGabBreMar and a younge woman inthe 80s identified her rapist, was sure it was him, tetified at his trial and he was given 35 years.then with the adnebt of better DNA testing,it was proven in 2005 he wasnt her rapist and was set free. She was so upset with herself and kept saying but I was sure he was the 1 who raped me,I was 100% positive.Eye witness accounts are extremely unreliable in most cases, thats what investigation is for
