The high court ruling was a cop-out, based on Newdow not having custody of his daughter, not the merits of his case. Anyway, I didn't expect him to win, just because he was on perfectly firm constitutional ground!

How about instead of "In god we trust" and "one nation under god" we put "one nation under reason and science" i think that would be a lot better.

still no match when compared to "god", yourbro1. not even in the slightest degree. just one single pandemic topped them (likely) both and it lasted only 1/5th of the time of both conflicts combined.
nevertheless, we are back on our feet and we are doing better than ever. even the bloody financial crisis doesnt have the same "gravity" as the "great one" had.
perhaps its time to rethink your personal stratregy...

isn't it wonderful that tens of millions of christians massacred eachother in ww1 and ww2? isn't it wonderful that white christians enslaved black christians in the usa? and that a great christian nation is selling nuclear weapons all over god's planet? Satan was never so bad!

If "in atheism we trust" was on our money can you just imagine the religious right wing nuts going crazy about that eh?
It's about freedom of conscience and God on our money and in the pledge is devisive and it makes nonbelievers second class citizens.

2: The reasons Newdow challenged mentions of a god are simply because it runs counter to the Constitution of the U.S.A. for government to endorse a religion.
And...being an atheist is quitting the community? Only the segregated churchy community, though we're still part of the community as a whole.
