A version of Jason Segel's piano song "Dracula's Lament" as featured in "Forgetting Sarah Marshall." It's not exact, as I had to listen to the soundtrack to hear the chords, but it was done in about 20 minutes, so it's good enough I suppose for now. Enjoy!

As a commenter pointed out, I can't sing for crap. Eh.

It's not exactly sheet music, but here is the transcription of what I play in the video; the left hand plays the E-------E and A-------A chords, and the right hand plays the rest. They play the following sequence:

Left Hand Right Hand
E------E E--G#-B
---------- E--G#-B
---------- E--G#-B
---------- E--G#-B
A-------A E--A--C#
---------- E------C#
---------- E---A
---------- E---------- E
---------- E------C#
---------- E---A

repeat this 4 times, then move the right hand down an octave, just above middle C.

repeat the progression 4 more times, ending on the words, "let the world know..."

then, "how much i love you"

jump the right hand back up to the original position and play:

E-------E ------- B
----------- ---- G#
----------- -- E
----------- ------- B
----------- ---- G#
----------- -- E
----------- ------- B
----------- ---- G#
----------- -- E
----------- ------- B
----------- ---- G#
----------- -- E
A-------A -------C#
---------- ----A
---------- E
---------- -------C#
---------- ----A
---------- E
---------- ---------- E

*pause*

E------E E--G#-B
---------- E--G#-B
E------E E--G#-B
---------- E--G#-B
A------A E--G#-B

---------- ------B
---------- E
---------- ---G#
---------- ------B
---------- E
---------- -------- ---G#
---------- -------- -------B
---------- -------- -----------E

  • nine THOUSAND points!?!? that's like almost $4!!! can i redeem them for a large stuffed animal or an oversized 80s wall poster in a cheap metal-looking-but-really-made-of-plastic frame?

  • @enigma515 think I could learn this in a week having no background on the piano?

  • @enigma515 You could use it for a piano tune!

  • @jamesbaruc thats what she said. lol

  • it's a really nice song man, and Respect for the vocals on it!

    Keep it up!

This song made me consider starting to play the piano again after a break of 6 years, Thankyou for that!

  • best song ever sang

  • i think you're a little fast...

  • I'm terribly sorry, but all you can get is a lovely plastic pencil topper, or a slinky. Those things are fun, but get tangled within a few minutes and you can never play with them again. Or, if you're really willing you can get a fabulous tube of bubbles. :D And if you want, you can get more points if you can sit through a scary band of a fat mouse and bird people...and then crawl through the 'life-size' hamster toy and make it out without being attacked by small children. :D Godspeed!

  • Brilliant!
