Definatly the most difficult Vibe solo of all time. Obscene dampening, insane melodies, long length, crazy multiplaying. Yeah this is a most certainly a level 7

@noisyfan My bad. I was confused. I though Bossa had a certain syncopated format. This was very melodic. I couldn't match it up with bossa. So I though it was Rumba. The refrain is very american sounding though, so I also had Blues in mind for the genre

Gary Burton is the Grand Master and the magician of the four-mallets style.
His appearances and recordings are pure surprise and joy for me.
@RINGMASTER1118: well, it's upbeat, it's fast, and absolutely no strict rythmical format.
How can you possibly detect a Rumba then?
This song is considered the genuine First of a Bossa Nova song. Its melodical and harmonic material is so rich and strong, that Gary's rendition also is pure joy for me.
Bossa Nova Extended: it has all the flair of it!

@Andreaguitar9 Amazing? yes. But Bossa Nova? No. This is way to fast and upbeat to be Bossa. It's more of a mixture of blues and Rumba

First time I see Cal Tjader: "wow, awesome! he's really good!"
Then I see Gary Burton: "........"
A friend walks up to me, "Have you ever heard of Cal Tjader?"
Me: "Who?"

this video has changed my life.
