En los siglos 15, 16 y 17 llegaron mas de 300, 000 africanos a Mexico. Durante la trata llegaron 400, 000 a los EUA. La Flota paraba en varios puertos de las colonias. Veracruz de la llave fue el puerto colonial mayor por siglos. Fue contacto entre oriente y occidente.
