Things are much more simple if you use different "Layers" e.g. to draw building and street.

why is this software so complicated

i am usually working in different 2d and 3d softwares for my faculcity(mechanical engineering ) but this time i need something simpler for architecture and i have this application for hour and i still not manage to find way how to make dimensioning) .....

there is no front view or side view in Sketchup 8.
