  • wut was the first bullet?

  • @blakrag310

a 357 magnum from a carbine. The others are out of pistols.

  • @bcoverss the .357 was out of a carbine, meaning at least a 16" barrel.... the .45 and .40 were our of pistols, probably 3"-5" barrels... thats a huge difference in velocity. Put the .357 out of a snubbie and see what the difference is.

  • Well, the 357 was fired from an lever action rifle, with probably 20" barrel.

The muzzle velocity its much higher than if it fired from a revolver barrel.

  • as stated several other times the 357 is coming out of a carbine barrel ..... which gives that large bullet even more of a chance to burn all of the powder behind it allowing it to reach max velocity .... neat test though

  • these test results are non conclusive. NUMEROUS FACTORS APPLY!... this test put plane and simple is a FUCKING JOKE!....... VIEWERS BEWARE!!!... dont waste your time....... BALLISTICS IS MORE THEN JUST BARS OF SOAP!!!!!... i am no fan boy i am just stating the obvious

  • @1MudDobber2 +1 here on the Bond Arms. I love my Snake Slayer. I have the 3.5" .357mag barrel too and man does that thing rock!!

  • I love static.

  • mexicans make really good soap!

  • .it don't matter you going to die when you get shot with anything ! Hospitals and ambulances do take down the risk but out in the middle of nowhere you going to die

  • @grizz474 I understand your point, but Jerome Ersland used a .380..thats what got him trouble, first shots didnt kill him he had to go get another gun. In my opinion, had he used a 357 mag even fired a bond arms shot barrel derringer 2 shots would have killed him..wouldnt been no other gun. Not trying to really argue of make someone angry, but I have alot of handguns in everything from .32 to a .44 mag, but for carry I take my bond arms .357 magnum 2 shots of 125 grain Golden Saber.

  • @1MudDobber2 Handgun rounds (with a few exceptions) have no hydrostatic value on flesh, but can have shock value. Humans are very elastic, there's little if any damage done outside the path of a handgun bullet. The exceptions might be the large cal magnums. But most folks don't carry magnums for self defense, so the common self defense bullet needs to contact something to damage nerves or cause a loss of blood pressure to kill, but even if thug doesn't die the "shock" of being shot may detour.

  • @grizz474 Hydrostatic shock not a heart shot., if it only took a .22LR to kill a person they wouldnt have came out with the .357 magnum or .44 magnum. but yes, a shot from a .22 to the brain stem would kill a person, but good luck with a shot like that, 357 magnum will kill you with a gut shot, Dr. dont have a good chance at fixing that mess of bloody goop.
