Just a little something I threw together.

I 'borrowed' (or is that hijacked?) the "Be S.A.F.E. - Stay Away From Ebay" slogan from the author of companyexposed.com blog.

I give them full credit for the phrase.

My apologies for not remembering where I read that catchy phrase from. Thought it was on a chat board.

This of course alludes to the FACT that ebay is a dangerous website, full of risks.

I cite the long standing major security flaw, United States Computer Emergency Readiness Team website (us-cert dot gov) Vulnerability Note VU#808921,
http://tinyurl.com/luhv9
which has gone uncorrected for about 2 full years now.

This is the very same flaw which recently was discovered to have been exploited by hackers to view 'about me' pages and to glean personal confidential info of the unsuspecting users.
Read more about that here:
My view in your eBay "- eBay's XSS-Flash Exploit
http://tinyurl.com/3aowqx

Remember, ebay will blame you when your account is compromised. That is their stated policy. http://tinyurl.com/2dneg2

The also consider your safety to be 'irrelevant' as stated recently in their response to the latest xss exploit.

ebaY has been aware full well of this problem for nearly 10 full years now!
WHID 1999-1: eBay downplays security hole
Reported: 04 April 2006
Occurred: 19 April 1999
http://tinyurl.com/2hbgmr

And there have been many recurrences of this and related issues:
eBay's phishy old problem

eBay provides backdoor for phishers

eBay redirection ruse reloaded

Ebay refuses to correct this CRITICAL safety flaw. They consider your safety to be an acceptable risk. Do you feel the same way?

There are too many other safer, more honest & trustworthy 'venues'. Please consider the facts before you choose where to buy & sell online.

The message is clear. Avoid IT like the plague!

  • Hello ObiWanVonRotten

I guess I forgot to mention it here, but I found a website openly selling hacked paypal accounts.

People wishing to learn more can follow the link from my channel page to my blog.

Can you feel the safety? Can you feel the trust?

Thanks for commenting. May the force be with you.

(I always wanted to say that LOL)

  • Golly gee whiz! Curiouser & curiouser!

It looks like ebay & Paypal have been outed as having sent the FAKE items, which scam victims send to them, to a source which resells them, and by which they find their way back onto ebay.

Go read "Ummm Amanda? Care to expound on your "answer"? on the PayPal bd at ebay community forums. Gets good around post #109

  • It's better in stereo HQ mode.

Add '&fmt=18' (without quotes) to the end of the url in your address-location-url bar

  • Oinkblog? LoL!

Will there be discussion of things like.. oh maybe shoes & ships & navel lint there, do you suppose? ;p lmao

Might have to make another video: Be Safe, stay away from trolling corporate shills.

  • You are so right, Capp! There is just no rational reason to go to Ebay these days.

Maybe they should take the money they are paying their new corporate blogger and patch some holes with it instead of financing more spin and BS at ebayOINKblog. :-)

  • Up to your usual high standards, Capp! Straight to the point - BAM! Thanks for the info and the laugh!

  • you. is ebay really a scamming site? plz tell me it dont are a scamming site :(

  • Hello ebayboycotters.

I hope everyone who has not seen that yet takes time to read it. It has been posted about everywhere by now.

OTOH, there is nothing too shocking there. eb did state they would be unrecognizable.

Who ever first penned that would also be wise to reveal themselves, while plausible, as it is now, there is no real way of knowing it is genuine. Further, what other info do they have useful? (if indeed genuine?)

Thanks for watching & commenting. :)

  • Great video, especially the ending. :)))

Yep, ebay is loaded with fake log-ins everywhere. Now I hear that Paypal has the xss flaw too. Last time I looked, the PP site is in 'meltdown'-- echecks not clearing within timeframe-- also now double-dipping in your funds-- rigging DSR's and feedback so they can hold your money for 21 days. HUGE SCAM!

Anyone with half a brain will close down their paypal account. It is a huge scam with NO regulations. License to steal from YOU!

  • Bravo! I love it!
