hauling out the jump car

The movie stunt for COLLIER & CO. was a great success. After the movie is skillfully edited together, it will look like the jump was a 'piece of cake" and that J.R. Collier and Becky just kept on driving.

In fact, this stunt took a month to prepare, we spent thousands on modifying a similar car that LOOKS like John's "Traveler", there was a crew of professional stunt people setting up and operating the car, and the car was destroyed by the stunt (as they always are). Here's footage of it being hauled in from across the river. The car might look okay, but it is, in fact, completely destroyed. It will be on display alongside the real Traveler at the premiere screenings of COLLIER & CO.

While i too hate Hollywood destroying classic American cars, people don't realize that the 68-69 Charger would not even be as much of a collector car if it was'nt for the Dukes of Hazzard show. It is a beauty of a design, and would still be collectable, but seriously, can you look at one without thinking of orange paint, a rebel flag, dixie horns, and seeing it fly through the air? People who own 68-69 Chargers can ask a fortune for their cars because of the popularity of that show.
