Excerpt from the powerful documentary titled: For the Bible tells me so.

Biblical Literalism has been used against civil rights, female equality or moral fortitude, now it is used by some in an often violent campain against homosexuality, in contradiction to the ultimate virtue of what it means be one who follows God.
That being, God's unwavering love for all His creations.

Through the experiences of five very normal, very Christian, very American families -- including those of former House Majority Leader Richard Gephardt and Episcopal Bishop Gene Robinson -- we discover how insightful people of faith handle the realization of having a gay child. Informed by such respected voices as Bishop Desmond Tutu, Harvard's Peter Gomes, Orthodox Rabbi Steve Greenberg and Reverend Jimmy Creech, FOR THE BIBLE TELLS ME SO offers healing, clarity and understanding to anyone caught in the crosshairs of scripture and sexual identity.

  • Good stuff. I especially liked when the woman said that most Christians don't read the Bible. It's a claim that when I make it to Christians I know, it makes them pretty angry. But they do not know how to react once I proved to them that they only read the text that appeals to them.

  • Yeah, it's as if he never existed for over 40 years after his death and suddenly the gospel appears. Sorry, that's far too unbelievable for me. It'd be like no documentation of 9/11 until 2041. Organized religion is the most ridiculous entity in existence today.
