Ousted Honduran President Blocked From Landing

Ousted President Manuel Zelaya was kept from landing at the main Honduras airport Sunday because the runway was blocked by military vehicles and groups of soldiers, some of them clashing with a crowd of thousands outside. (July 6)

Zelaya was removed by order of the Honduran Supreme Court because that is the required penalty for violating the Constitution he swore to uphold. The Army had to follow the order from the Supreme Court. The same thing may happen to Obama if the US Supreme Court rules he does not meet the Constitutional requirement to be president. Obama is hoping this does not happen to him.

Yes, in Honduras we have many problems, thousands of gangs members ,as many as cocaine addicts in America. We have violence and people die just like the shootings in the schools of america (sorry for Virginia Tech), but the most important thing is we dont want a socialist, lier as president. America dropedd Nixon for lier, we were a little bit far, we ousted Zelaya.

No, Honduras is mostly chill. The worst people are the gang members, who were deported from the US after learning their trade here.

There hasn't been a huge history of violence like El Salvador or Guatemala. They do have agrarian reform laws and squatter rights laws. Mostly, even the right wingers want peace. Zelaya was a moderate reformer now being depicted as a "commie".

yes, comical.... I heard that Zelaya was really ousted because he tried to change the constitution. He tried to add to it by inserting a mandatory "underwear" policy. He wants all Hondurans to start changing their underwear three times a day. Also, the people of Honduras must wear their underwear on the outside of their clothes so that the govt change check, and make sure it is getting done.
