I followed the instructions from censtron.com to do this. Please, don't try to do this unless you are familiar with the workings of TVs. It can be deadly if not done correctly.

  • wouldnt it just be easier, and far less dangerous to just BUY an osiliscope? Not to mention that you could probably find some interesting things to do with it, and make an interesting thing to hook up bent items to.

  • Hey.

I already have a scope for working on electronics. I use this thing for live shows and DJ stuff. I made this with about $3 worth of parts on a t.v. from Goodwill, so I'm really not out anything if it dies.

  • yo, what song is that????

  • I think it's just called Scatman. And it is by Scatman John. I guess just search for it.

  • dude. this would be rad for live gigs!

  • Thank you, It is. :)

  • I once tried to circuit bend a TV... Got one hell of a shock from the + Anode xD Next time I'll be sure to discharge it..

  • What exactly is it doing..?

  • I want it. I need it. It's required just to stare at! I'm making one.

  • this is so sick!

  • The first time I took apart a TV I was 16 years old. I shocked the shit out myself. The TV hadn't even been plugged in a long time! Luckily, it was a very small TV and it didn't fuck me up. After getting shocked, I learned why it happened AND that a TV can hold a charge for a very long time. DO NOT FUCK WITH TVS unless you know what you're doing. Stick to keyboard circuit bending.

  • You can see the scope filtering through the camera, As it's interfearing! COOL BEANS!

    R.I.P. Scatman John

  • @alphamone a GOOD educational grade scope can cost $2000. Minimum. So, no... it wouldn't be easier to just buy one.

  • cool

  • Man I'd love to sit that ontop of my amp, having that stuff going whenever I put on a song.

    Good work indeed.

  • Man. I dont even ahve the guts attempt circuit bending a goddamn tv. :P
