  • Sadly, no. I won't argue with your point. of S scale needing more modern locomotives. We now have coalporters available from S scale America, but the most modern engine that would look appropriate with it is the American Models SD60/SD60M (and those units are being retired from the Class 1 railroads.

  • Does anybody make modern diesels in S scale (SD70ACe, Dash 9, etc)?

    They need a lot more of that to attract new folks to the scale.

  • Why? Just because S doesn't have "everything" that HO has doesn't mean it's inferior. Truth be told, S operates much better since it's 33% larger than HO.

    Thanks for this shot of the Penn Western. Sad that the website for this model railroad was taken down.

  • Cool layout, but it would be so much better in HO scale! Keep chugging!
