barry sanders represents everything osu inspires to be. he is truly amazing.. lets hope the cowboys can continue on his spectacular record
-
well actually the lions couldnt trade because they didnt have the salary cap to buy him out

all prefrence man, i prefer a a back that will beet the shit out of you and will never quit, thats why payton is my fave. with that said sanders is a very and i meen very close second just on what you prefer

As a huge Sanders and LT fan, I take offense to that. Both players could care less about stats and much more about winning championships. LT's team is much closer to winning a title than Sanders' ever was. It's truly unfortunate that LT had to remove himself from the New England game after the first series. He couldn't move laterally, so he knew he wasnt' going to be nearly as effective as a healthy Michael Turner.

One more thing, I enjoy watching old NFL films on comcast. When I see Barry it still gives me a rush. The other backs look slow motion vs Barry. He was that much better than anyone else.

I am a running back fan as far back as Gale Sayers. Barrys skill was superhuman. I have never seen a back that could do what he did. His balance was unreal. I am still looking for the next Barry but so far no one is close.
Many people do not realize that Barry really did not care about records. I think he was so shy that he would rather not break a record so he would not have to speak in public.
The Best I have ever seen!
He's so humble as a football player. After every touchdown, he wouldn't celebrate. Instead, he gave the ball to the ref. every time. He retired because he didn't want to break Walter Payton's rushing record. Barry Sanders is the best role model and runningback ever in history.

he retired because he wasnt having fun anymore. he felt the lions werent doing much in the 98 offseason to get better. sanders didnt want to move to another team because he felt that one nfl team is enough. he could have broken every record there is to be broken by a RB but that wasnt what he was about.
