  • so if it was y = 3x -1. do u go up 3 and 1 to the left??

  • @trumpet290 No... The 3x part tells you that slope is 3/1, which is go up three and across one unit right. The -1 tells you to start at ( 0 , -1 ). Next go up 3 and across 1 right. The point is ( 1, 2 ). Next go up 3 and across one unit right. The point is ( 2, 5 ). I hope this helps you .... Mr. P.
