What is the park getting?

You GOT to get this truck responding to a call with the Q blasting for all it's worth before the truck goes.

She's being retired in a couple of weeks to be reunited with the squad. I live in the park and a fan of the show.

ol' Engine 51 isn't due to retire for a few years yet, I think. They should put it out to pasture, and rejoin it with the Squad.

For those who may have missed it, Engine 51 is now back here and in quarters at the Los Angeles County Fire Department museum.
The firefighters there say that the folks in Yosemite have taken very good care of her.
Can't wait to get out there to see the engine and squad together!

I was just reading about that. How cool is that? I wish someone would buy them a new one so they can send it back to the LA Co. Fire Museum before anything happens to it.

I agree, and they could use the type of engine that CalFire has, that handles off-road and brush fires. With Yosemite's mountains, it seems like a bad place to have a vintage engine in regular service.
