A caller asks a question about believing in the invisible. This is Matt's explanation of how an atheist can believe in the "invisible" force of gravity and not the theists invisible friend. The audio of this episode was horrible. I edited it to make it tolerable, but it still isn't that great. Don Baker and Matt Dillahunty host this clip from The Atheist Experience #433 - http://www.atheist-experience.com

laughing at religious people may seem rude to those that are religious. it may even seem like an attack. It is impossible to see how ridiculous religion is until you educate yourself and stop assuming that your "god" exists based on no logic(usually they base it on something stupid like "feeling" or use some pseudo-logic). Sorry guys, but this is not how rational people base their perspectives on issues. Intelligent people question what they are told, they dont follow blindly like sheep.

@namnack The explanation of gravity is, at the moment, this;
we don't know.

@DampBoulder What makes you believe that your belief in God effects his existence? What evidence have you got that suggests that your conscious mind can remake the universe and cause god to exist simply by believing in him? I'm genuinely curious to know because a lot of people are throwing that kind of new-age idea around, but no one has yet provided any evidence.

She says "I believe in all things..."; so she believes in dragons and unicorns and fairies and trolls and whatnot then, yeah?

Diference between God and Gravity. God: if you believe in him, he's there. If you don't he's not. Gravity: It's there whether you like it or not

Easy answer is that gravity is the pucker or warp of space time by matter. Planets suns galaxies, all matter even us, warp space around us.
