Hi. If you are planning to installing Wordpress to a Web Server you will not need Xampp. Xampp is to turn you computer into a temporary web server for development purposes. The Wordpress install will follow the same for both, Xampp Server and Web Server.

Hi, Your welcome :) ... Sorry but unfortunately Wordpress does not have the ability to control multiple sites from one installation. But Wordpress 3.0 does allow multi-site networking, meaning users can create there own blog on domain under the master blog. But if i can recall correctly, this is not what you are looking for.

Hi, I am receiving an error. It goes like: "This either means that the username and password information in your wp-config.php file is incorrect or we can't contact the database server at abc123. This could mean your host's database server is down.

Are you sure you have the correct username and password?

Are you sure that you have typed the correct hostname?...

" How can I get rid of this problem?
