Aberfeldy Uptight BBC2 Scotland Edinburgh

"Uptight" comes from the excellent "Do Whatever Turns You On" CD on Rough Trade Records and is one of Aberfeldy's best tunes. Introduced by Shantha Roberts and Vic Galloway from BBC2 Scotland, this bouncy song is part Magic Numbers and part ABBA. Aberfeldy blends these influences and more into their own unique original sound. Best band from Edinburgh in my humble opinion.

More bands should record music that sounds like this. I'm a classical music fan, chant & medieval mostly. I co-own a classical music website. The "tuneful music" side is always quarreling with the "crashing pianos into brick walls constitutes music" side. The latter seem to think any sound, regardless of how disorganized and rhytmless and tuneless it is, should be adored by music fans. Aint so. Rock and rap bands today are noise compared to a band like Aberfeldy.

its an amazing band, I really enjoy almost every of their songs. They are so cool, the singer has a great voice and the flow, the tune, the style is great, modern, but retro, but quiet, but cool, but amazing xD

After being made aware of this band through an advert on TV I've listened to 5 of their songs now and I have to say they are amazing. Bands like this should be given far more coverage than the constant crap that simon cowell and his lackies keep churning up.
