Hey Youtube
My first video on the first hamsters I ever had. Adopted them yesterday from PetSmart with my girlfriend. Both are male and are named Potter, and Milky. Potter because he has this black mark on his forehead and milky because he jumped out of the box when I opened it and landed in my bad and jumped into a bowl of milk. (it was empty except for the last layer). Funny thing is, they were $15.99 each and we decided to buy two, but with all the expenses of the housing and food, our expected budget of $40 became $90. We bought a Crittertrail X Extreme Challege pack, food, the nutrient blocks, and Aspen bedding. Planning to buy a rolling ball for them, extensions and the Crittertrail School Bus pack. More videos to come (:.

  • i have a russian dwarf hamster and the same cage as you. when i was first installing the cage, i put my hamster in the wheel and then attached it to the cage. he learned how to climb out of the wheel and since then was able to climb up and down the wheel.

i think your hamsters just dont know that the wheel is up there so they dont think to go up there.

  • i got the same hamster so u just wait it took my hamster a day in he went up their they but their back in to it to get up their

  • it is a good cage if u need any question ask me very good cage

  • dude i was lookin at the same cage today.lol. im planning on getting one after this summer.

  • Also their teeth constantly grow. If you want them to get used to ur hands in a week or so just put your hand in the cage at the bottom, a little bit everyday. I use a big plastic square clear bin for my hammies house as I got tired of cleaning the tubes all the time. I would take everything out and put one hand in cage and worked up to both hands and then arms so they had to run over my hands. They put my palms up and let them get used to running in my hand then I would lift them up a lttle:)

  • Oh, I wanted to add below, it's called the silent spinner. They love toilet paper rolls with a little paper left on it so they can tear them off. They love loose little strips of toilet paper to play with and use for bedding. They are shy so they need time to get used to their new home. I hope you got same sex hammies or u will have babies. They need lab blocks and hay, like timothy hay. And salt blocks or round ones and lay on bottom, they come in set of 3. And also chew blocks, for teeth.

  • Nice video! They have a great home. They may need a free standing wheel, they are small wheels on stands that can go inside this cage, My Rob loved hers! They will run up to about 5 miles a night so they need their own wheel probably later. The tubes will need to be cleaned once a week because they run so much and pee. I use care bedding because it is softer for them and absorbs odors. They love veggies small amounts but not much fruit, to high in sugar. And no store bought treats too sugary
