I had the same problem. Use less gain/volume on your bass, make the amp feed the volume..After all it is small compared to an amp, my active pickups would destroy it xD.

So what was the part? Mine seems to be doing the same thing too. Mine goes out for longer periods, but most of the time if I smack it a few times it snaps back on.
The part would be nice to know.

Make sure you call EHX and tell them this story and call them morons.

Hey i got one of these about 2months ago and ive been having the same problem....random cuts in signal....
Did you find a solution to this problem??
Id really appreciate if you could let me know how to get around that because i love the pedal so much WHEN it actually works...

You are wrong. This has nothing to do with the output of the bass. In the video you can clearly see that the power light is going out, and that equals a power issue. Besides, it's fixed. Read the thread. sigh

The part has to do with power supply. The actual functioning of the pedal is fine. There is power regulator in the chain after the dc socket that was worn out. Sorry I don't have specifics. The pedal hasn't broken down on me since.

UPDATE! A bass student of mine (that is a apparently a whiz with electronics) asked if he could take a look at the pedal. After a couple hours work and some research he had a theory of why it was acting like this. Basically, he was right and now it's fixed. a $3 part. Makes you wonder. Thanks Lyle.

I tried different power supplies, different wall plugs, different extension cords, different power bars. It is most certainly a power issue because the pedal works perfectly in all respects unless it has no power. Kind of makes you wonder why they put it on the scope at all after seeing this video?
