The butane-heated Ploom can fit in with any quit-cigarettes plan. But I found that refilling Ploom pods with nasal snuff created the least expensive nicotine kick on the planet!

  • IS this a DIY or a review. Very little focus was about how it vaped and more about how to stuff your old nasty pods. I thought the idea of an alternative to smoking was to get you to quit and be able to move away from the ashtray not fill it with more tin and crap? BTW just might be a personal opinion but I don't really care about what some teenagers did or how much the paint at the hardware store cost you before you stuffed it into that contraption. Just like this comment ur long winded.

  • @rielevilnside YouTube can be, almost, anything. The focus of my series is saving money on a tobacco habit. Using nasal snuff in the way shown here does that. Your negative tone is off-base (these aren't "old nasty pods"). Smoking alternatives are NOT about quitting nicotine, but about harm reduction. A worthy goal is to stop inhaling tobacco smoke into lungs. Vapor devices do just that. I use my Ploom every day, with a mixture of nasal snuff and espresso grounds. Outstanding taste and vapor.

  • I own both the Ploom, (Which I have had for over a year) and the Vapor King, the Ploom is a pretty interesting smoking device because the flavors are so intense that it is a good casual smoke for a cigar or pipe smoker, however for a cig smoker I recommend the Vapor King just because it is something that will satisfy a cigarette smoker like me. The Ploom's smoke production is not that great, this is what got me, but I do like is that the Ploom does not have the chemical taste like an e-cig does.

  • @xXxSHOOPIExXx Good comment. I use my Ploom at specific times of the day, much as I would a cigar or pipe -- early in the morning, while reading the newspaper, after supper, late at night. The Ploom is stronger than any e-smoking device I've ever used with any liquid. It's more like smoking! But my e-cigs get 50 times the use. I use them non-stop every day, along with a snus pouch. Among Ploom flavors I like: Gold and Naked.

  • I hope you guys out there looking for smoking alternatives arent considering this. It looks to me like this product just bakes the tobacco and you smoke it anyway. All the Ploom did was combine the lighter and cigarette into one device. Its super inconvenient to use and only produces whisps of vapor.... Battery powered personal vaporizers are the way to go. Dont take Bob word on the "concoction" its PG/VG (food stuff, FDA safe) and flavor. How is inhaling baked snuff better for you?

  • @alexjones7777 Ploom uses butane to heat and vaporize; e-cigs use batteries to heat and vaporize. They are methods to the same end. Both produce vapor without combustion. Ploom does NOT create SMOKE. But since Ploom uses moist tobacco, the vapor contains all tobacco alkaloids, a real benefit for some quitting smokers. I use Ploom in conjunction with my e-cigs, nasal snuff, dissolvables and snus. It's just one more option -- and a good one -- to stay away from inhaling smoke.

  • Captain Kangaroo has been smoking something besides the Ploom.

  • you rock! an obvious tobacco connoisseur. i'd be curious what your take would be on using the arizer or solo or even the volcano vaporizers.

  • *vids

  • Make another video of the ploom tropical bob! I love your bids!

  • This may have already been answered, but how does Ploom compare to "vaping" snus in an E-Cig? Also what is the best size cart./ atomizer to use for snus "vaping"? Can I use this in an Ego-T empty cart and atomizer?

  • I'd like to point out, for you ploom users that want to refill, Vegetable glycerine (sold in walmarts near the pharmacy in liquid form) produces much thicker vapor than Propelyne glycol. (which I've been unable to find in local stores). Just some food for thought.

  • I'm glad to see a sort of hybrid coming out. I will admit that I've met people who didn't like ecigs, and this might work better for them. It's nice to see an alternative that doesn't slam the other alternatives out there.

In regards to your comment on ecigs not producing enough vapor, my homemade mod produces enough to knock anybody flat if I crank the voltage up.

I would like to see pricing of the pellets compared to cigarette cost, might bring more to your cause.

  • Oh and TropBob - I found out about Stonewall only from your youtube videos. Thanks for sharing your good info on youtube !!
