I'm sure that he was considered stiff as Ox did'nt have alot of body control. It takes a great deal of effort to throw a realistic looking punch that actually lands lightly. As a result many lumbering big men, like Baker, punches either look soft & really fake or they are stiff.
Gunkle did die after a match w/ Baker, but it did'nt have anything to do with anything that Ox did, although wrestling promoters did make it a gimmick for Ox that he was so devestating in the ring he was deadly.
garvin definitely one of the most wooden, non charistmatic performers of all times. perhaps, he should receive an award for that. yawn.
