Snowy, my 1 year old Umbrella Cockatoo, hates being bathed but will endure it to get to the hair dryer.

  • They are amazing, aren't they...I had one too some time ago, but we had to get rid of it because the bird would never shut up, and would keep the whole house up; otherwise, he was a great companion. So intelligent too :(

  • @GaryFountainHills I've trained Snowy to use his inside voice in the house and he can squawk to his heart's content when he is in the tree just outside our lounge window. He still squawks inside but nothing ear shattering. I'm lucky to live where I have very few really close neighbours.

  • @MrGavcox While I agree that they are clipped too short, the rest of your statement is false. They are not "falling" from great distances.I work for a wildlife rescue center where a few of our birds have had amputated wings and they jump around all the time with absolutely no problems. There are MANY reasons to clip this way and I have a few tear jerking stories to back this up. A birds keel is harder to break than you think. BTW I have over 20yrs experience with Parrots and Raptors

  • @dextra88 You also state that the bird has cut off wings. Wing clipping is not cutting off their wings in any form or way, though some people who make poor attempts of doing it may hurt the bird. Wing clipping it merely cutting down the first few flights to stop the bird from being able to fly away, they should still be able to make short flights and glide to land safely. This helps them not fly into mirrors or windows. People do it for the safety of the birds, not to be cruel. JS

  • @dextra88 Just because the bird has had its wings clipped doesn't mean it's living an unhappy life. If that bird was unhappy at having that dryer in its face it would of most likely kicked off, being as it's a too. I find the mytoos site very true yes, but also they pretty much tell everybody not to get a cockatoo. This cockatoo seems very happy in my opinion after keeping birds since I was young, it's pretty clear to me. I also don't understand how it is meant to taste under its wings

  • ms black ops is responsible for me wtaching this vid

  • @BojanNisevic

    >.> Because having big parrots is just like having a baby or a toddler - you can't take your eyes off them for a second and they need constant attention and care.

  • haha...cute

  • @dextra88

Why not target the people who are actually mistreating other beings, like saaaaay... the meat industry. mercyforanimals. org. Spend your energy here where its actually needed.

This lady obviously loves and cares deeply about this little guy. I encourage people to seek a loving connection with a non-human being.

  • Girl who cant speak : U whant more?????

Snowy: FU i just piss myself...

  • I am not whining, I am just realistic. There is nothing funny about this poor, crippled, beautiful bird. Poor, poor soul :((( Please, check mytoos.com and learn.

  • Why did she called it 'baby' when it is a parrot? :S

  • @dextra88

Stop fucking whining, the bird may have had it's wings clipped, may not have.... if the bird didn't like the hair dryer, it would have fled at the firt chance it got, and it wouldn't chirp when it was shut off. and the owner's excitement is shared by the bird, it could be playful. and the last thing... if you read other comments, there is a spot outside where the bird has access to, it isn't forced to stay in a cage, it has freedom...

  • sorry but this is very sad :(((. poor, poor birdy :(( with cut off wings, exposed to the blow dryer and owner's annoying excitement, her life doesn't look happy. this type of parrots are prone to feather plucking and many behavior abnormalities. please check mytoos.com parrots are not cats or dogs, they actually live in two cages: their own and the home of their owner. so sad not to taste feel under wings :(((( this video is disturbing, nothing funny about it. sorry.

  • Ohhh Blow it Baby !!
