Step 1: Making Anchors for your new slackline using climbing webbing.
Showing a friend how to set up his brand new slackline for the first time (1 of 6 videos)

This is the cheapest way to make anchors - using the same kind of tubular webbing as your slackline. anywhere from a 8-12' length of webbing is ideal, these anchors are 15' long to accommodate larger trees. One-time overhand knots at each end of the anchors is all you need.

  • Thank you for the clarification. I haven't noticed this myself so it might not be much but I stand corrected; perhaps even a different knot is in order for potentially dangerous applications.

  • The guy in the background made me laugh.

  • Not to be overly anal here but the knot will not "fuse" with repeated loading it will actually come loose. This may be of no concern in this application but in one where your life is depending on it you would want a long tail and check it every time.
