After two years of no contact, Spike and Buffy are once again standing on the edge of the unknown after a chaotic reunion in Rome. Things have changed, and their stance together remains unstable as Buffy comes to grips with the realization that she loves a man who might no longer be in love with her. In the midst of it all lie the Slayers Satsu and Cassia, Buffy and Spike's respective significant others. Both are aware of the chemistry between the eldest Slayer and vampire, but what happens when that chemistry finally sparks?
