Today at the St Mirren game the sounds of The Beatles "Let it be" just had so much impact on me - like listening to your Ipod without realising you have your are earphones in. It said everything. Eddie seems to have had the same Beatles taste as me!

"And when the night is cloudy, there is still a light, that shines on me,
shine until tomorrow, let it be."
When I heard that I thought of that single glint in the floodlight that got my photo published in The Sun - "United's Shining Light" - was shining through the clouds today.

Football is more than Football. Its as complicated as men. Its connection. Its expression - between men and for men. Its sadness and joy. Its passion and our shadows. Its the sharp turn, the precise pass and the clean tackle - sometimes. Its often frustrating, sadness and tears.

R.I.P Eddie from an True Aberdeen
It is times like this when Aberdeen and Dundee United should put thier rivarly aside.
I was at Tannadice when Derek McInnes was playing for your team and it so happened i am mates with derek's sister and i got tickets to go down with his sisters husband and i did and met eddie thompson and i swear i couldn't have met a nicer guy.

I agree - football is about connection. Sometimes men do not understand that.
