Melanie Scenes January 19, 2012

Melanie & Maggie are at the spa. Maggie tells Melanie that she knows that she's just trying to keep her busy-so she doesn't think about Mickey's birthday. Melanie doesn't want Maggie to be alone. Maggie says it doesn't make her so sad anymore-she has lots of memories...and now Victor, Daniel and Melanie too. Melanie gets a call from Daniel, and they head to the Pub to meet him. Daniel tells them he is leaving Salem to figure out what he wants to do with his life. Melanie starts to cry, and asks why he can't stay. Daniel says that everything in Salem reminds him of Jennifer-or Parker and Chloe. He says he may just travel the world. Melanie is distraught. She cries that she just found Daniel-the father she dreamed of her whole life. Melanie asks him to promise that he'll return, and he doesn't answer. Maggie tells him that they are family, not friends-and no distance can change that. Outside the Pub, Daniel says goodbye to Victor and Maggie. Melanie is crying as she says goodbye to Daniel. He promises her she can call anytime, even at 2 in the morning. Daniel tells her that he may not be the best father-but he loves being her dad. They both tell eachother they love each other.
