What is liberalism?
The principle and practice of freedom enjoyed responsibly
Our freedom extends until it violates the freedom of others
Individual and social responsibility
Equal rights and chances for all citizens and ethnic, confessional, cultural and other groups
Acknowledgement of individual achievement, knowledge, self-reliance, social dynamism and mobility
Defense of human dignity which means social solidarity
Open society, cultural diversity and versatility
Legal security equally extending over economy, public institutions and citizens
Transparent and accountable state management
Consistent separation of the church and state
Multi-party political system
Liberal democracy based upon the system of checks and balances
Republican form of government with institutional control of power
Protection of private and public property, strengthening and regulation of market economy
Permanent and continuous reconciliation and seeking for consensus between parties and civic movements representing diverging programmes.
