It's spring. We've added some new friends, some new plants and driftwood bridges to replace some that couldn't stand up to Oregon rain.

  • Thank you, Windstorm for the comments. We do our best to respect. Our daughter is waiting for replies to notes she's left.

  • Boys can easily create without that "it's for girls" fear - it's about building. The small concrete stepping stones are a GREAT spring project: small paper cups trimmed, Qwikcrete mix, bag of pebbles. Make the mix and top with beads, pebbles, etc. and pop them out after they dry - any child can enjoy them.

  • It would go black and dead in a MN winter. I'm just glad it's really coming back! Just thinned it out again today and found several mini stepping stones, 4 Polly Pocket dolls, a few super heroes and asst. plastic frogs buried in the steppables.

  • That's very pretty

  • oh, let me also add that faeries do not like 'toxic' or 'chemical' things--keep it as natural as possible--they are very close to mother earth and her vibrations

  • Folks, I have read in a fairy book that the wee folk enjoy any of our efforts but appear to be attracted to certain plants such as ferns, roses, fox glove--sort of the old fashioned English garden...put a bowl of water, a few chocalates, a crystal (they like shiny things), a stone fairy or gnome figure....it should be in a nook of the garden that doesn't see a lot of 'action'--sort of a quiet place. This would be also a good place to meditate and communcate with them.

  • AWESOME!!! I want to create one with my kids:) Thanks so much for sharing!

    Love and light,

    Jacque and April

  • wow that is sooo cool :D

  • That is really beautiful. Very inspiring

  • omg, sooo cute!

And i am so glad your kid is a boy because i am building a fairy home with my little brother and if i show him this, it'll make it easier for him to keep believeing, because you know the world we live in. It's okay for girls to believe in fairies and build homes, but if a boy does it "all hell breaks loose". And the world can be cruel and torture a little kids mind.

    Anyways!

    lovely place!
