for Google, this act is an ingenious power move, so subtle and what better than have the people's give away their talents. sure its for the better of mankind, but unfortunately it is elites like Google themselves that dictate the 'who what when where why how' the results from those talents would be used. sorry boys and girls its the reality. yes be creative, keep imagining. but remember to protect yourself first and foremost.

but its never about winning right? its about bringing science fun and exciting and mainstream and so while you talented young future scientists and engineers work so blissfully on inventions and innovations, the same wealthy elites will have more and more new inventions and innovations to sell! not saying its bad, just how capitalism works. so yeah keep doing your science and engineering, but make sure you own your own intellectually property, not publicize it like Google wants ;)

lol amateurs, if you wanna win, you gotta have a finished project within the tight tight deadline, so ppl who've been working on their projects for years and near completion would have highest chance to win. with that being said, this 'google science fair' does bring awareness to the world through its media and networking influence, so i guess the value is 'inspiring' the children of today

Jesus! I got bored watching this video but did watch most of it. It looks fun to hang out on Video but this presentation did not go too smooth in the end. Using a Wide Angle lens would fit perfect....

Yo soy México, y le entiendo a la mayoría de cosas que dicen, en lo personal no creo que el idioma haga imposible participar. Creo que lo más difícil será obtener tu idea y desarrollarla.
