Two is company, three is a crowd - maybe thats why no one invited any other candidates to debate with Barack Obama and John McCain, so the third party contenders decided to have a debate of their own. Independent Party nominee Ralph Nader or Constitution Party nominee Chuck Baldwin say the national media ignores them.

Ross Perot was an Independent who participated in the national debates, but after Ross Perot the DEms and Republicans got together to exclude third party candidates.

  • im voting third party in california.. screw the axis of evil

  • So lets get a law passed that requires independents to be included in televised debates when they make it on to the ballots of enough states to possibly win enough electoral votes to actually win the general election.

  • Could't have said it better myself Tirbrath!!...Ultimately though Dem and Reps serve the same master...Big Business and it's expansionism. Make the rich richer and the poor,well,..poorer. Vote for Satan or Bezelbub....take your pick. And the controlled media obeys...BBAAHH...BBAAHHH ....DAYEM!! WE ARE SCREWED AREN'T WE ??

  • Neither candidate was on all 50 states ballots, but the point is that they were on enough ballots to win the popular election and therefore should have been allowed national attention. Anything less was a subversive by both the Republican and Democratic parties. (and yes that includes Obama)

  • yes true all parties who can enter a candidate for president in all 50 states under the electoral regulations.should be in any national debate along side any other parties,if not garanteed that right is it trully a democracy.

  • There is a war hero(McCain)and a possible first black president(Obama). What better way to keep America from even looking at third partys. Not to mention the media exploits the situation by giving these two all the air time and keeping third parties out of recent debates. This makes it seem that there is no hope for a third party canidate and people end up making a uninformed decisions. "When they own the information they can mend it all they want" -John Mayer
