I really don't think kids should have fone. I'm 24 and didn't get my first phone til I was bout 19.

@roysdon I feel that a phone like this is great for kids, and is necessary in order for them to stay connected with their parents. I have an iPhone 4 now, and dont really think kids younger than my age now (15) should really have them, but a lot do... and honestly, the age that kids will actually get phones will get younger and younger as phones become more of a part in our lives in this day and age...

i decided to buy my tween one of these tracphones. it has a variety of games on it. and she loves all the different settings to choose from so she can personalize it the way she likes...she customized the background, and the ringtone. She loves the games. Sometimes its hard to take her away from it! Plus my wallet is super happy. It barely costs me anything!

I used to have this phone. personally I think the battery iife isnt the longest but i wanted to stick with tracfone for the savings. i got the LG600 which for me had more things. Plus with the battery life.. i mean it was good. i think all their phones are good. some better than others. but the service has been totally great.

I got the kids tracfones for Christmas as they have a great qwerty slider for text addicts like mine and the double minutes plan means their cell phone allowances go twice as far! They say it's the best gift they ever got and it hardly made a dent in my wallet!!
