Bing: Microsoft New Search / Decision Engine Review / News

Microsoft rolled out a new search / Decision engine called Bing on June 3 officially. Previously it was called Live Search. Since this is a major improvement feature wise and technically, they decided to rebrand it. It has very nice and easy to use interface, has new features like travel search, shopping and its multimedia search beats everything. This video is a review / news of Bing. Try it out and you will fall in love with it.

I am working on a project about Bing for my advertising class and am focusing on press coverage. I cannot find those numbers anywhere.

ramz63, can you elaborate what information are you looking for ? the number of queries and statistics for bing/google/yahoo can be found on the web. I am not sure about what exactly does it mean by number of media impressions.

The end of the video says 4,000+ tv and print placements and over 30 million+ broadcast impressions.

I'm wondering how those number have grown.

the video is from a research company called forrester. I would suggest searching on company's website or may be email them to check if they can help you since they are a research company. Other than that, you can contact Microsoft and inform them about your project. May be they can help you.

hey bro, think logically, how many ppl visit all the results shown by a search engine :)...Ppl, hardly go to page 3,4 for getting their answers. And building index takes time, it can't happen overnight. Try some query like "mariners", Bing would show you all the recent games and results. Google does not even show that. E.g. today was a game for mariners. Bing shows the results for todays' game, Google says that the last game was 24th and next game is 26th. Where is the game on 25th ? :)

Bing sucks. It really, really, really, doesn't work like it should and has much fewer web refs than google. Don't believe me? Type "Apples" in both google and bing and see how many pages you find on each that has real information about apples. Bing fails.
