Nick Jonas Love Story Chapter 63

I just kept walking, looking down at my feet. I couldn't believe I had just said that. The first time I talk to him in over a year, and I tell him I never wanted to see his face again. No, worse. I told him I'd be happy never to see his face again, when in truth, It would just be killling me slowly if I couldn't see those deep brown eyes. I decided to call Charly as soon as I got to Sophie's. She would be furious. She'd been a little worried about me recently. I guess being away from Nick's taken it's toll.

When I sat in my car though, I leaned my head back and fell asleep. It was almost 3 a.m by this point. I was way beyond tired. Luckily, it was saturday morning. When I woke up, I stared at the dash for a long minute, trying to register that that was the actual time. I let out a frustrated grunt and turned on the car, speeding away from the peir.

Sophie and Charly were going to kill me. It was 10 o'clock. It was a long 45 minutes to Wyckoff from the peir, and when I pulled in, Kevin's car was in the driveway. Great, I thought, they were here to add to the worry. Joe and Kevin would probably kill me too.

I walked in and felt a little weird. I felt hyper, and like singing a song..
I laughed at myself for no reason and walked in the kitchen. I was starving. I grabbed a bowl of cereal quietly and got some frosted flakes. I was sitting there, with a spoon in my mouth as Charlotte came charging down the stairs. In Sophie's new house, the layout was totally different and smaller, so as soon as Charlotte reached the bottom stair, she would see me. I paused watching her.

"Well when she gets here she better be careful! I'm never going to let her out of my sight again!" She yelled up the stairs towards Sophie who was now visable. Charly turned to me and I tried to hide behind the cereal box. It didn't work so well.

"Nicole!" She started, walking towards me. I jumped up and started to walk around the island. She chased me around for a minute and the stopped. I flashed her a big smile.

"Ughh! And you're 17? You act like you're six!"Charly excalimed, laughing. Desi came around the corner then, holding onto Joe's hand.

"Hey!" She said, laughing at the situation.

"Six and a half. Jeez Char, the half is important." I said, laughing with Desi. Joe found it funny too. He started to laugh but Charly gave him a look as if to say "You better be on my side for this one". Charly could never get mad at Desirae though.

"Yes it is, mommy.. I mean, I am so much more MATURER than a six year old." She said giggling. Joe started to laugh again too. It was hard not to laugh when Desi did. She was completely contagious. Charly sighed and walked to pick her up.

"Of course you are. And who taught you that word?" She asked. Desi looked at Joe and pointed. Then Charly laughed. "There's no way! Not Joe, he doesn't even know the meaning."

"Haha, hilarious." Joe said sarcastically, sitting down at the kitchen table. Then he noticed me for the first time. "Hey, where were you?"

"I was wondering the same thing..." Charly muttered.

"Could I eat first please? I kind of want an apple or banana right now..." I got up and started to search the fridge when I heard Sophie behind me.

"Nicole! Ugh, hun, if you ever do that to us again, You will be grounded forever!" I almost laughed at that. She had never grounded me.

"Yeah, okay Sophie. I'm sorry you guys..." and then I found an apple. I was in one of those moods that everything you see or hear reminds you of a song. In this case, unfortunetly, it was that Barney song that teaches you your vowels with the apples and bananas? Yeah, that one. So, I started to sing it. Why not? I turned and everyone was looking at me weird, except Desi and Joe.I'm pretty sure Joe had done weirder things... and Desi was singing along. I kept singing and didn't care that Kevin had now joined everyone, staring at me like I was insane.

When I paused for a second, someone else came in the room and then he stopped, staring at me. I didn't start singing again. Instead, I got mad. What was he doing here? Nick was standing there just staring at me. The whole room went quiet and everyone looked back and forth between us, expecting something to happen. And then Nick turned to Sophie.

"What possesed you to let her have sugar on her cereal? You know how weird she gets..." Kevin said joking, trying to get rid of the awkwardness he knew had entered the room. And the silence was broken with laughter. Everyone's except mine. I was doing everything I could not to tell him to go away.

I really need to stop writing these long chapters lol...
