Good videos in general, but I think this understanding of ki is somewhat misleading. If ki extension was merely the application of "kinesthetic tension" (which is somewhat of a vague term) then the exercise would only be possible from a position where the arm is fully extended. However, this is not the case. Unbendable arm is possible from a half-bent, or completely bent, relaxed arm. When done correctly, it is even possible to fully collapse and extend the arm against a fully resisting uke.

Thank you for the comment JG --No doubt you are right on several counts -- i will say i don't intentionally mislead but my descriptive language may well be inadequate to the task at hand-- I certainly agree that unbendable arm is applicable in a large variety of configurations-- Following a lead from Mr. Tomiki and others i try to describe the isometric body mechanics but How do you describe and teach these phenomenon? Will you say more? Your own video perhaps?
