The last time I heard Hitchens have a real debate was on Democracy now, with Tariq Ali.
Before that, it was with Chomsky. I might have missed some, but the point is that he spent a lot of time in his later life arguing idiots. When you argue idiots, you end up looking better.
There is nothing wonderful in that.
I enjoy reading some of Hitchens's works, but his works on religion and support for imperialist policies is something I cannot stand.

I honestly think that we created "god" to scare humanty to b better people like dont steal dont kill respect youre elders things that a ethicly wrong but u tell me whats,easier to tell a child if he steals and he asks you why? there is a fundemental problem with Religion which is simply, if God created you, who created God. Now if this came to pass and it turned out this 'God' presents itself to us and explain how he/she was created by another form of being, what happens then? Do these religions collaborate? Does this new Godly figure that created 'God' suddenly usurp the real God because that guy would be considered more powerful? Where would it end?

Hannity and O'Reilly both succumb to "God did it!" for things they cannot explain. Neither, however, actually attempts to defend the nonsense contained in the bible. Both are catering to ignorant christians.

@ScottsGoldClub At least Hannity let Hitchens speak, unlike Chris Mathews on BSNBC. Hannity's argument makes no sense, though.
