no you dont have to strip them, but it is best to move the holding female to her own tank

wait, one more question?!?! Then y do people strip the fry if the mothers will release them neturally???

not this fish particularly...but alot of cichlids will eat their fry if left in the same tank, and since i breed and sell to stores i have to make sure i get all the babies before they get eaten lol
