  • this reminds me of the symbolism of the lotus flower in indian spirituality, which transforms filthy shit into a beautiful flower. it's a reminder of exactly what brian eno is talking about. Great words

  • What great words. What great words. These guys have made some completely fantastic artwork - and yet they pull back the curtain, humbly and gernerously, and said "dude.... you can do this." YOU!.... can do this. Just a flip of a thoght. Erasing the line of grandeur so many hide behind, eye level they invite us over. May that seed germinate in our hearts, out of nothing...

  • Yeah except Beethoven was never unpromising. If anything, he failed fully to fulfil his promise, with his several long depression-induced creative dry-spells. Mozart, likewise, was ever promising, and always delivered (though not to the acclaim we now give him), until he died at 35: the most promising talent never fully realised. Same with Schubert. These people were never unpromising, and their music did not come from nowhere, it came from unique talent and a great deal of lifelong dedication.

  • How beautiful, men being beautiful.

  • "beautiful things grow out from shit"...

    this is true creativity...
