I was setting it at the end of the video, good ear!

  • are these motors supercharged or turbo?? or neither?

  • They are all supercharged, that's the nature of the beast. Some are turbo charged as well.

  • @TurbinePower69 i will call bs on that one. we (mikes diesel, look it up on fb) only set their max at 2400 rpms bc even like that we only give a 6 month warranty bc their two stoke engines...... any size. now with that being said. a "good run" is 2 years that they will go before swinging them. not only will the engine spin the main berrings but then you would never have a warranty AND your telling me you swap them out less than once a year rebuilt/new detroits (leaktroits) costs 12000 w/the core

  • @cpasseno It isn't a supercharger - it is a Blower, it does NOT create any boost. It only moves the air at normal atmospheric pressure. The engine must have it to run. A supercharger raises the pressure and compresses the air.

  • sounds like the one one my uncles american lafrance firetruck

  • Marine boat engine! what no shit I alway thaught they fitted marine engines in airships!

  • @frosty9595 cause its a 2 stroke

  • @JtsGreene When they have turbochargers, they are definitely considered 'turbocharged' as they have positive pressure in the intake tract after the turbo spools up. When they have just the roots blower, they are considered to be 'naturally aspirated' as there is no positive pressure in the intake tract. The blower simply provides air movement and exhaust scavenging....no increase in cylinder pressure.
