@yegorovich I posted my question 9 months ago and I'm a genetic research technician now and I totally know the answer lol Thanks for the reply though!

@MrSpeedyAce PCR template is the cDNA sample that you use to amlify your gene of interest.

You can do this in Geneious with so much less effort. Load Geneious, click on the NCBI icon near the bottom left corner, search for pSAT6, and filter (top right) on mcs. You will have 4 docs, choose AY818383. Drag to your local database. All the annotations are already on the sequence. Repeat for pFGC5941. This time you'll see 10 documents, choose AY310901. The BAR CDS is already annotated, so you can select it, cut and paste the sequence it into pSAT6. Geneious rules.

Thank you, it is very useful :)

When you say "PCR template", what do you mean?

thanks, these videos are awesome.. i wish i found them earlier!

you are the best! these vids are the sh*t
Thanks for your comment, Springbok. The purpose of this video was to demonstrate how to use Vector NTI and how to add features to a plasmid map. But yes, you can download a .gb sequence file from GenBank and have all the annotations displayed automatically.
