Why do they keep getting away from this basic concept?
This is the way to build an affordable performance car!
-
Yes...the "6 pack" is three 2-barrel carbeurators mounted on the engine.

@diecastdeluxe Sometimes, but if I had the money, I'd buy one and that would be my only car like the rest of us...

@bigtorquehemi My modern 345 Hemi makes 375 horse's power

@godsword4u1 the black paint really does give it and aggressive/ malicious look to it. "badass" if you will :P

@carguy8022 You could get a 440 4bbl in 1970 in a road runner.
383 V8 335 hp
426 Hemi V8 425 hp
440 V8 375 hp
440+6 V8 390 hp

@bigtorquehemi Actually the only way to get a 440 4 brl in ANY roadrunner was the Superbird in 1970...There was no way to get a Roadrunner in U-code or L-code (the single 4 brl 440) It was only available as a 6 brl...To get a single 4 you had to get the GTX, Coronet R/T, or Charger R/T
My brother had a 70 chevelle 454 4 speed, to me that was the fastest car on the road at the time. On a warm spring night in 1979 an orange road runner with a full black hood and a scoop rolled up next to us at the local cruze strip. When we pulled off the light i could hear it was a four speed. Next light on green wide ovals were fighting for traction, i could hear the driver crack off full throttle up shifts gets rubber in 3rd. and next thing you know we were staring at his tail lights.
