I think she was pushing it a little with some of those notes. I'll be honest, I am a Lee fan but I'm not like some people all anti-Crystal. They're both amazing in my opinion. Crystal has great range but I think she was getting a little screechy. I'm just being honest, don't hate. :P

Alex Lambert is the best Idol SSB-...also, His anthem performance was telecast to about 600K Viewers on his other reality show- If I Can Dream on Hulu , sooo, hes got Crystals' SSB performance beat by a landslide, viewer- wise...,and it was on Zimbio's main baseball web- page for 8 months- that's another 3,or 4 million views for Alex...

She is a great talent, but she needs to get her head straightened out. Loose the dredlocks, and stop mimicing the athletic black singing style.

not the best national anthem ever, but Crystal can seriously sing, she just has to be in her element--she seriously moved me many times on Idol, because she was singing folksy songs that fit her voice, which is what she is: a folk singer, not an anthem singer.

I love how everybody is saying how terrible she is...when realistically, this how she pretty much sang for the whole duration of American Idol. Crystal rocks the stage, and does it will soul; that's what she was voted for. Even though she's not the "prettiest" singer ever, she knows how to move an audience, and that's what performing is about.
