Pls stop spamming the N97 video's pls. The phones you are listing are not up to the N-series standard in my eyes.
For example - Blackberry Bold has Terrible streaming issues and a God-awful camera rated 4/5 stars.
N97 is so far rated 5/5 stars, pls people ignore this retard, he is just pissed coz he got his dick stuck in his iphone headphone socket !!

Oh i forgot to say to some1 who said something bout HTC. I have htc touch pro... what a piece of shit! Win Mobile is even worse crap than Symbian. in my opinion this phone is a 5800 XpressMusic but modified! there absolutely no difference in the software, its the same but slightly modified for its business use. Busy people's mega dream phone! cheers Nokia

Actually, the N97 features several software enhancements that the 5800XM won't have, such as kinetic scrolling native in the browser, the widget-ized homescreen, and a few other niceties buried within.

Does anyone know if this is the final version opf the OS? navigation seems clunky and doesnt really seem to follow through from the demo videos releaseed earlier with those smooth transitional animations , like when moving the phone to landscape mode

As mentioned before, this was an early alpha unit, nowhere near ready for primetime. In fact, you might be able to notice that, even on the front of the phone, it's labeled as Nxx, rather than N97, showing how not-final it really is.

It appears slow because the device was loaded with beta firmware. This is not the final version of the software which is going on sales. Also he's not suppose to show it to the public like that.

Correct it is beta firmware. However, I was given permission to record and post this video - in fact, half of Nokia's COMMs team was in the room with us, and 4 of the people who worked on this phone were there, as well.
