NUDE, the German innovative electronic music ensemble who's trademark sound celebrates the world of Breakbeat, Drum N Bass, BigBeat and Electro Punk, have announced the September 6th release of a new recording of Heaven 17's classic 1982 Top 40 UK hit single "Let Me Go."

NUDE's new recording, inspired by Heaven 17's original, breaks into new music territory where the beats are big and the melodic hooks are infectious. The song will appear on NUDE's forthcoming album "Basic Guerilla Moves" released in October 2010.

Four different mixes of NUDE's "Let Me Go" are available digitally throughout Europe via all the top digital download sites including iTunes. NUDE's forthcoming album "Basic Guerilla Moves" is the follow-up to their 2007 debut album "Black Box".

The core members of NUDE consists of the creative heads - Isabelle Gernand (lead vocals), Georgie Weeratunga (electronics) and Marc Werner (electronics), all of whom are responsible for the programming, songwriting, vocals, dancing and promotional work behind the scenes.

Band members who perform with NUDE on tour includes David "Tweeky" Ahlund (rap,vocals), Johannes Buchner (keyboards) and Florian Stossberg (drums, percussion).

Originally formed in 2007 and based in the heart of Frankfurt, Germany, NUDE's musical roots is steeped in various genres including Breakbeat, BigBeat, ElectroPunk and Drum N Bass. In the tradition of Basement Jaxx, Chemical Brothers, Underworld, Faithless and the Prodigy, NUDE entertains their fans with addictive dance music, adrenalin beats, hooks and melodies.

"The reason we recorded our own interpretation of "Let Me Go" was because I personally loved this song for a very long time," says NUDE member Marc Werner. "NUDE didn't just want to do a traditional remix from the original master tapes, but instead we wanted to record our own version featuring massive beats, electronics, melodic hooks, rap and vocal harmonies."

2010 has been a big year for Heaven 17, with a BBC 6 Radio session with La Roux, a BBC 2 TV documentary that aired in May entitled Heaven 17: The Story of Penthouse And Pavement" and a one hour concert of H17 performing their legendary 1980 debut album Penthouse And Pavement at the Magna Centre in Sheffield (aired on BBC 2 TV also in May).

With all of this activity under Heaven 17's belt, and a forthcoming nationwide UK tour of Penthouse And Pavement that kicks off at the Edinburgh Picture House on November 22nd, the band has yet again been immortalized by NUDE with the latter's homage to Heaven 17's "Let Me Go" (the latter was originally a Top 40 hit single for Heaven 17 during October 1982).

The artwork for the single is homage to the original artwork for Heaven 17's Let Me Go single. When H17's single originally came out in 1982, the sleeve artwork depicted Glenn Gregory shouting into the telephone receiver. NUDE's artwork for their 2010 recording of Let Me Go, is depicted by a masked guerilla screaming into the telephone receiver.

"The vibe of NUDE's take on Let Me Go is a lot more aggressive and upbeat compared to Heaven 17's original 1982 recording," says Werner. "It will be interesting to see how Heaven 17 fans respond to our version. I hope that we have not lost any of Heaven 17's original poignancy and melodrama that made the song so special the first time around."
