And LOLLL at comparing shaolin monks to UFC fighters. Of course shaolin monks would lose miserably to a UFC fighter in a cagematch. Shaolin monks are not going to be allowed to maim or kill their opponents.

Actually these people fight with weapons, so everyone in K1 would actually just be dead if they tried to fight a Shaolin Monk, also you have no idea how good a shaolin monk fights. They have actually taken part in historical battles. They first started learning martial arts because their temples got attacked often. If it didn't work, I'm sure they would have noticed when they all died... I know a guy who sparred Sanda with a monk, "Fastest guy I've ever fought, really good at reading"

Don't compare UFC and shaolin monks =P It makes no sense, Shaolin Kung fu is not proven the best, no monk claims to be the best. Shaolin Kung fu is a life style. Shaolin Monk VS Brock Lesnar... Brock would be stabbed to death by a spear... So why even compare, the two are different and for different reasons. UFC is not martial arts, it's just violent people fighting with martial art techniques. Martial arts is much more than how to hurt someone. Shaolin is MARTIAL ARTS, UFC is fighting.
