  • how powerful the engine is required and the speed of a saw, How big is the saw blade and the thickness. Thank you.

  • @Numas02 @ the speed you are going it is a good time to focus on recovery, making sure you do not trim off too much of the shingles with the right hand, and taking time to examine the blocks before putting them in the carriage. Make sure to learn good habits, develop your techniques now, speed will come later.

  • haha i have to say i really love sawing shingles its boring but you can make some money at it if the wood is right i guess

  • Thanks for the video and input,I'am a green horn saywer reaching out for input, help me keep my position.2weeks old cuting 10-11.50sqrs a day,are right but not enough expearence in recovery, would you consider a lesson video on recovery?

  • might try some ear plugs for safety too

  • Thanks for submitting a video. Some tips to make your work easier; keep your elbows in close to your sides and down low, don't lift the shingles so high to clear the frame, but drag them down low across your body. Your shoulders will last a lot longer. Also try standing erect while trimming. leaning forward over the trim board will not only wear out your back, but will also put your face over the chips and slivers flying off the saw.
